Accessibility Statement
Our commitment
Clarus Imaging wants everyone — including patients, caregivers, and referring providers using assistive technology — to be able to use this website. We built this site with accessibility as a requirement from the start, not an add-on, and we test against that requirement as part of our normal development process.
Conformance status
Our target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. This statement describes our target and our process — it is not a claim of full or certified compliance. Websites are never "done" for accessibility; new content and third-party services can introduce new issues, which is why we treat this as an ongoing practice rather than a one-time checklist.
Measures to support accessibility
We take the following measures to support accessibility:
- Automated accessibility checks with axe-core on representative routes at desktop and mobile viewport widths during site review. These checks supplement, rather than replace, manual review.
- Focused keyboard review of changed interactions, including the navigation menu, skip link, forms, FAQ disclosure controls, and referral-card copy button.
- Documented color and text contrast pairs checked against WCAG AA thresholds for the site's primary backgrounds, text, and controls.
- Semantic HTML and page landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) throughout, with a "skip to main content" link on every page and a single, logically ordered heading structure per page.
- Meaningful alternative text on informative images, and empty alt text on purely decorative images, rather than one generic approach applied everywhere.
- A print stylesheet for the referral information card and referral sheet, so they remain legible in black and white when printed or faxed.
Known limitations
We aim to be direct about what we don't fully control:
- Online scheduling (Noterro): requesting an appointment happens through Noterro, a third-party scheduling platform we don't build or control, so we can't hold it to the same accessibility standard as the rest of this site. If you have trouble using it, please call (812) 551-1994 and we'll schedule you directly.
- Contact form spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile): the general-questions form on our Contact page uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a third-party widget, to block automated spam submissions. It is not a service we control the accessibility of directly. If it gives you trouble, calling or emailing us reaches the same place.
- Some referenced third-party sites — our radiology partner's site, insurance carriers' sites — are outside our control and may not meet the same standard we hold this site to.
Feedback
If you run into an accessibility barrier anywhere on this site, or have a suggestion for improving it, please let us know — we want to fix it. You can reach us by phone at (812) 551-1994 or by email at info@clarusimaging.com. Please don't include medical details, symptoms, or health history in an email; call us for anything related to scheduling or your care.
Technical specifications
This site is built primarily with semantic HTML and CSS. JavaScript supports the collapsed mobile navigation, the referral-card copy button, the contact form's inline result messages, and Cloudflare Turnstile spam protection. The FAQ disclosures use native HTML and do not require JavaScript. Referral details remain visible for manual copying, and primary page links are repeated in the footer. The contact form keeps a standard POST action and method; its server returns a separate HTML result page for submissions that do not use the inline JavaScript enhancement. A successful submission still requires the third-party Turnstile check described above.
